Traffic Control Supervisor (tcs)

PRE-REQ: LiUNA Work Zone Safety Certification, 4,000 hours of experience or existing IMSA TCT Certificate or ATSSA TCS Certificate

Description: The 16-hour Traffic Control Supervisor course is designed to help the supervisor create a safe roadway construction work zone for workers and travelers by applying guidelines and developing structured processes for implementing internal and external traffic control plans. Participants gain critical knowledge in the types of traffic control devices and how they are used, set up and dismantled.

An intermediate level course on the installation of water, sewer, and storm drain systems. Participants will work in real time with equipment, learn about trench safety, and installation practices.

WORK ZONE SAFETY (WZS)

PRE-REQ: None

Description: Work Zone Safety course teaches participants about highway work zone hazards and actions workers can take to protect themselves while performing highway construction work. Participants learn about dangers associated with construction equipment, the types of roads and conditions that impact safety, traffic control zones, traffic control devices, hand-signaling devices, and environmental hazards. In addition, participants learn how to perform flagger duties safely and effectively.

PRE-REQ - Current Asbestos Supervisor Certificate

Classroom and hands-on training in the remediation techniques and safety used in abatement. Certification pertaining to CFR 1926.1101.
Students shall pay $100 license fee by the first day of class to be eligible for training.
